Since our founding by Benedictine monks, hospitality has always been at the heart of Westminster Abbey. We have held royal weddings, state occasions, and every coronation since 1066.

Now you can hire an historic space for your next corporate event. Host a dinner, reception or summer party in one of our unique heritage spaces, set within the Abbey grounds – and offer your guests a private tour of the Abbey

College Garden

An impressive 900- year old garden, with beautiful views of the Abbey and Victoria Tower, part of the Palace of Westminster. This exclusive walled garden has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere all year round.

Believed to be the longest continually cultivated garden in England, College Garden is an idyllic space for a summer party reception, dinner, lunch or daytime business conference.

In June and July, we construct a stylish marquee with a decked porch area, making College Garden an idyllic venue for a relaxed reception, formal gala dinner or corporate conference and lunch.

From August to May, there is the exclusive opportunity to hire College Garden for one event a month. In this instance, you are welcome to construct a marquee structure to accommodate your event needs.

The Cloisters

In the warmer months, treat your guests to an atmospheric event in this elegant open-air arcade. The 13th Century cloisters adjoin the main part of the Abbey (the nave) and overlook a grass quadrangle (garth).

The Galleries

One of the newest event spaces in London, The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries boasts a view that John Betjeman declared ‘the best view in Europe’. You can now host an exclusive drinks reception in this unique and glorious place.

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
