The Wellington Arch is one of the most prestigious and unique venues in London. Set in the heart of royal London in the centre of Hyde Park Corner, it’s the ideal venue to create any memorable occasion and it’s also one of London’s best kept secrets.

With views over the spectacular London skyline, this former royal gateway is still used for the changing of the guard as well as visiting dignitaries and the Royal Family when heading to Buckingham Palace.

The Wellington Arch was built as an original entrance to Buckingham Palace, later becoming a victory arch proclaiming Wellington’s defeat of Napoleon. Crowned by the largest bronze sculpture in Europe, it depicts the Angel of Peace descending on the ‘Quadriga’ – or four-horsed chariot – of War

This unique venue has rooms on two levels, providing a contemporary setting available for exclusive hire, hosting hundreds of occasions every year. Your guests can feast on the spectacular views from the balconies across Buckingham Palace gardens and Westminster to Big Ben, the London Eye and the Shard.

Event spaces are located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the arch and are fully accessible by lift. Wellington Arch has a rolling program of exhibitons which your guests are welcome to take in.

Balcony

Two external viewing galleries are set beneath the galloping hooves of four horses pulling a chariot – the largest bronze sculpture in western Europe. Guests can sip drinks on the balconies, taking in exclusive views across Buckingham Palace Gardens and Westminster.

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
