The Shard
The Shard is an iconic building situated in one of London’s most vibrant areas, rich in both history and innovation, capturing London’s character as a city of contrasts, balancing old and new, raw and refined, traditional and visionary.
Irving Sellar, the developer, had an ambitious vision to create an architecturally striking vertical city and one of the tallest buildings in Western Europe. Award winning architect Renzo Piano took inspiration from the spires of London churches and the masts of tall ships, depicted by the 18th-century Venetian painter Canaletto, to design the building as a spire-like sculpture emerging from the River Thames.
There are four spectacular venues with stunning views available to hire for a multitude of corporate and private events.
The Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard offers 202 guestrooms and suites, a fully equipped gym on level 52 with floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic views of London’s skyline and a Skypool and sauna.

Aqua Shard
Aqua shard, located on level 31 of The Shard, serves innovative contemporary British cuisine and boasts breath-taking views from the restaurant, private dining room and spectacular three-storey high atrium bar. The contemporary cosmopolitan interior has distinctly British touches; gin and tea, both with strong roots in south London, have inspired the design along with Liberty fabrics which appear in subtle touches, complementing the dark oak floor.
Dishes feature carefully-selected fine British produce and combine the staple ingredients of British cooking with innovative techniques. Creatively crafted cocktails echo the seasonality of the cuisine.
