The Mill

The Mill is located in the thriving creative hub of Digbeth in central Birmingham. Digbeth has always attracted an unpreceded amount of industriousness and invention, from its roots as one of the original epicentres of the Industrial Revolution, to the current day revolution it is in the grips of now. Thanks to a concentration of young, independent businesses, attracted by the industrial architecture and street art, Digbeth has grown to become a characterful neighbourhood, known for its friendly people, its innovation and creativity.

Situated against the Victorian railway arches, in a unique warehouse space that has a mezzanine level and an open-top roof garden, The Mill has undergone extensive renovations designed to deliver the best experience possible for private and corporate event hire.

The Mill is home to soaring exposed beams, brick walls, and concrete floors against an industrial backdrop. Offering versatile spaces for small or large gatherings, conferences, brand activation, product launches, music events, fabulous weddings and parties.

The Mill’s largest space, with four bars, two artist dressing rooms and toilet facilities on either side. The urban design and vast ceilings create an intense electric feel that is echoed onto the Mezzanine. The perfect space if you’re looking for an industrial and unique backdrop to any of your events. Ideal for brand activations product launches through to wrap parties.

Black Box

Adjacent to the Warehouse, Blackbox, caters to a smaller capacity, and provides adaptability for smaller functions. The space can be used as a stand alone venue, with its own entry point and smoking area, and can also open into the warehouse to allow free-flowing between all of The Mill’s spaces.

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
