The Law Society has been the centre of the legal world since 1832, and now resides at 133 Chancery Lane the Grade 2* building we see today. Only 5.5% of listed buildings in the UK fall under this prestigious category. It actually took over 75 years to acquire the site for the Law Society building we have today.

COMMON ROOM
Our sweeping marble staircase leads you to the magnificent Common Room; this first floor room is the largest of our event areas and a space which truly reflects the gravity and prestige of this place. Graceful pillars of green marble draw the eye to Conrad Dressler’s celebrated Persian enamel frieze depicting human and divine justice, while mahogany panelling, 17th Century stained glass windows, and a peacock-tiled fireplace make this grand room wholly impressive for conferences and entertaining.

READING ROOM
At once grand and welcoming, the Reading Room is a truly special space. A refined palette of subtle blue, gold, and cream creates an atmosphere both cordial and regal in this spacious and versatile room. Located on the ground floor, the Reading Room is ideal for canapé receptions, seminars, or special dinners, and, with a license for civil ceremonies, it’s the perfect setting for a wedding of exceptional elegance.

STRAND FLEET AND BELL SUITE
This impressive suite of three interconnecting, fully sound-proofed rooms is ideal for meetings, presentations, receptions, and special dinners. Featuring cherry wood panelling and furniture, each inviting first floor room is flooded with natural light and overlooks the Royal Courts of Justice. These light and airy rooms open into one large area, perfect for bigger conferences, or work equally well as individual spaces.

DAVID LLOYD GEORGE ROOM
The David Lloyd George Room was originally the council chamber for the Law Society and is perfect for presentations and meetings. It is also licensed for weddings and is delightful for intimate ceremonies and dinners. Flooded with daylight by the double height windows, this opulent space, adorned with grand chandeliers, silk curtains, oak panelling and an elegant gold and blue colour scheme, has the added benefit of an ante room with bar and catering area, making this a fully private area that also boasts the fact that it is soundproofed throughout.

COUNCIL CHAMBER
The newly refurbished Council Chamber offers audio visual facilities to rival any London Venue. Its tiered ergonomic seating can host up to 100 people including space for wheelchair users. Each seat has its own power source and microphone.
The room boasts 4 in-built plasma screen, inclusive Wi-Fi and a remote panel for blinds and lighting, as well as an adjacent breakout room provide with the hire of The Council Chamber.
