The Elvetham Hotel is one of the most historic site in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800’s AD. It’s the site where Eadric the Wild plotted against William the Conqueror in the 11th Century, where King John gathered his nobles in readiness for war with France in 1205, and where King Henry VIII fell in love with Jane Seymour, his third wife and mother of his longed-for heir, just to name a few.
While only parts of the medieval house remain, its ancient spirit has been woven into the modern trappings of a luxury hotel and through its ancient Oaks and parklands. Today the Estate consists of 35 acres, bedrooms shared between our Main House and The Stables, a relaxing lounge bar, elegant restaurant and 4 unique and flexible function rooms.
Winner of The Wedding Industry Awards, Regional South Central Historic Wedding Venue of the year 2023 and Hitched Wedding Awards – Stately Homes 2023, The Elvetham Hotel is the ideal venue for glamorous weddings as well as a perfect location for business meetings and events.
