The Garratt Suite

The Garratt Suite is the largest event space at the Science & Industry Museum and ideal for large conferences and meetings. It includes a built-in PA system, projector, screen, lectern and microphone. The space benefits from controlled air conditioning and blackout capability. The Garratt Suite also includes a separate catering space, ideal for networking and exhibitions.

The Dalton and Joule Rooms

The Dalton and Joule Rooms are ideal for meetings and presentations, and benefit from natural daylight and air conditioning. They are available to hire as separate meeting rooms but can also be combined into one large space. The meeting room also includes an LCD screen, projector, flipchart, integrated teams system and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The Lovell Room

The Lovell Room is a bright characteristic room, perfect for small meetings and presentations.  The unique space includes a range of equipment to aid meetings and benefits from controlled air conditioning and lighting. The Lovell Room also benefits from natural daylight.

The Whitworth Room

The Whitworth Room is our smallest suite, and is ideal for meetings or as a syndicate room for larger conferences taking place. The space also includes an LCD screen, flip chart and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
