Mulberry House is a magical place and one of the finest award winning wedding and events venues in the heart of the Essex countryside.

Set within 22 acres of beautiful grounds, Mulberry House is an extensive oasis of beauty and tranquillity, from lakes and streams, wildflower meadows, ancient woodland, alpacas and black swans – you can get lost in the moment.

Our stunning Georgian Mansion is licensed for civil weddings both indoors and outside. With flexible event spaces, we are well regarded as a premium venue. We also cater for private events and businesses of all sizes. Our events planning team are on hand to discuss your requirements in detail and they will ensure your event exceeds expectations.

Mulberry House offers 23 boutique en-suite bedrooms in the original Georgian House and the courtyard rooms set within the beautiful grounds.

The Mulberry Suite

The air-conditioned Mulberry Suite boasts a stunning vaulted ceiling and statement chandelier. Located on the ground floor of the main house with private bar and cloakroom. There are built in screens and partitioning walls which can section the room into three areas. Décor is neutral, with wooden floors and exposed oak beams ready to be dressed as you wish!

The Marquee

Hidden behind the beautiful Georgian house lies our stunning all season’s marquee. As well as being fully air conditioned, it has its own built-in bar and private decking area with lower outside terrace. The ivory draped, starlit ceiling with crystal chandeliers creates a magical feel for night-time occasions.

Garden Room & Conservatory

These spaces are very popular for both corporate and private events. Light and airy with a bar and direct access to a private decked terrace area with incredible views across the lake and grounds.

Dining room

This formal event space is located on the ground floor of the mansion house. It has large French doors to the terrace which over look our lake and grounds. The windows are dressed with floor length drapes and the décor of the room is in tasteful keeping with the rest of the house

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
