In the West End, De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is one of London’s most impressive, stylish and opulent event venues. Situated in Covent Garden, the Grand Connaught Rooms features the iconic Grand Hall, a sophisticated Champagne Bar, the indulgent Tempus Restaurant and is a stunning, sought after venue delivering a real wow factor.

De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms has a history dating back to 1775 when the venue was home to a Free Mason’s tavern before becoming a hotel in 1909. There are 37 fantastic spaces available for a wide range of different events.

Grand Hall

Majestic yet welcoming, this prestigious space with adjoining rooms is incredibly versatile. Formerly a key meeting place for the Freemasons, this fantastic hall was considered the largest room of its kind in London, and still is amongst the most generous.

Full of character this inspiring grade II listed hall allows you to make the most of the adjoining Balmoral, President and neighbouring event rooms. Together they create an impressive, spacious area you can tailor to your event.

Built in 1813 and extended in 1905 the elegance and classic grandeur is evident in every curve of the Grand Hall. But the real beauty has to lie in its contemporary private bar and dedicated green room, perfect for key note speakers to prepare themselves for your event.

Cornwall Suite

The Cornwall Suite is a space unlike any other. Striking surroundings, beautiful ceilings and an array of intuitive technology creates a superb atmosphere.

The Edinburgh Suite located on the first floor boasts natural daylight and is designed to incorporate the architecture and heritage of the venue. The Drawing Room, adjacent to the Edinburgh Suite is designed with a dramatic and theatrical feel, magnificent lighting and self-contained with a circular bar

Positioned high over London on the fifth floor, our spacious terrace with views of the Capitals skyline, is a distinctive space that’s always a talking point. It’s the ideal place to host a sparkling drinks reception with comfortable seating, ambient music and warming heaters.

Inside you’ll discover a light, airy Penthouse Suite, perfect for smaller functions. We can set up a bar and the cosy seating is ideal for networking

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
