Winter Wonderland Ski Lodge

Back again organising a 60th Birthday party for this wonderful family. Having organised events for Mum and the children, it was Dad’s turn to have some fun! He couldn’t pick between an Après Ski or Winter Wonderland theme so I suggested doing both!

We took over the clients garden with an L shaped marquee decorated with an INSIDE /OUTSIDE theme offering guests the warmth of an APRES SKI LODGE and the fun of a WINTER WONDERLAND playground.

On entering ‘David’s Schuss & Bust Ski Lodge’ guests were offered a cheeky schnapps to warm their cockles by Birthday Boy’s ‘Snowflake Team’ dressed in black T shirts with white snowflake emblem.

The Ski lodge had a high end club lounge feel with three enormous sofa areas adorned with faux fur throws and cushions. Bistro tables with high chairs and poseur tables surrounded the bar which was glowing like a warm fire. The walls of the lodge were warmly lit and decorated with decoupage deer and stag heads and ski signage. All   tables had Snow Globe table centre pieces with ice buckets filled with Champagne and fine wines.

As guests walked further into the venue, the landscape changed to the outside Winter Wonderland. A host of snowflakes dangled over the twinkling white dance floor. Two giant snowy clad fir trees sat either side of the stage with its 30ft wide snow scene backdrop.

After arrival drinks the Snowflake Team served delicious winter warming bowl food and table service drinks. Entertainment for the evening was by way of an exciting 8 piece band who had  guest running from the Ski Lodge to the Winter Wonderland dance floor! The Après Ski themed photo booth was a real hit throughout the evening too.

After the band, The Snowflake Team handed out silent disco headsets for guests to party on into the wee hours without disturbing the neighbours and a delicious late night snack was served for those still feeling a little peckish.
