Livery Hall

The Livery Hall is one of the finest grand rooms anywhere in London. The vast ceiling is adorned with scenes from Shakespeare’s plays ‘The Tempest’ and ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and around the walls we display some of our finest silver. Marble-columned, galleried, gilded and hung with royal portraits, this is where Her Majesty The Queen and other heads of state have dined. It is large and versatile enough to accommodate almost any event you have in mind.

Drawing Room

The Drawing Room is an elegant setting for champagne receptions. The room is hung with delicate Victorian chandeliers and retains its original pale green and cream colour scheme of the 1860s. It is also a good setting for presentations with sculpture busts of HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales, both members of the Drapers’ Company, lending it appropriate formality.

Court Dining Room

The Court Dining Room is a favourite place for lunches and candlelit dinners. It overlooks our historic garden and is next to the Drawing Room with which it can be combined for large receptions. This room stands in the oldest part of Drapers’ Hall dating to the late 1660s though altered in 1869 by John G Crace whose family worked for every British monarch from George III to Queen Victoria.

The Court Room

The Court Room is a perfect size for breakfasts, informal lunches and side meetings at conferences. And as it directly adjoins the Livery Hall, it is also much in demand for dancing, for which we have a special stage and floor. Louis XIV tapestries, 18th century chandeliers and portraits of The Duke of Wellington and Lord Nelson lend gravitas to this important room where the Master and Assistants meet to direct the running of the Drapers’ Company and award grants.

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
