Bombay Sapphire Distillery

Based at Laverstoke Mill in rural Hampshire, 15 miles from Winchester and 60 miles from London, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is in a conservation area with over 1000 years of history. For over 225 years, the Victorian and Georgian buildings set astride the crystal-clear River Test produced bank note paper for the Bank of England and the British Empire. Now it is a sustainable distillery which produces every drop of Bombay Sapphire gin.

The Mill Bar

The Mill Bar. Formerly a “strong room” for storing bank note paper, the Mill Bar is a spacious multi-level venue with a terrace, which allows guests to enjoy a cocktail alongside the River Test. The venue is a unique space for a social evening event and can be combined with hire of the adjacent Entrance Hall, which makes a perfect space for a dance floor or buffet to complement the bar.

Mediterranean Glasshouse

Mediterranean Glasshouse. The iconic intertwining Glasshouses are a real highlight at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. Designed by Heatherwick Studios, they provide guests with the opportunity to experience the ten exotic botanicals infused into Bombay Sapphire gin through two separate structures, providing both a hot humid environment for spices that originate from the tropics, as well as a dry temperate space for Mediterranean plants.

Blue Room

Blue Room. The exclusive Blue Room is the jewel in the crown of Laverstoke Mill. The Blue Room can be hired throughout the year for Masterclasses, drinks receptions or as a casual meeting space.

Since 2018, Venues All Areas & The Events Architect have organised our events, each for between 300 and 500 staff. Quite simply, they have all been a phenomenal success. Our Summer Party now runs over three days, involving everything from marquees, refined catering, smart sleeping tents, bands, and a myriad of other activities (even ice cream vans!). Our Christmas Party is traditional black tie, which they somehow also make special and out of the ordinary. They challenge themselves to go above and beyond, and they SUCCEED, whilst keeping within the all-important budget!
